Post-apocalyptic fiction is a genre that explores stories set in a world or civilization that has been devastated by a catastrophic event, like a nuclear war, plague, or environmental disaster. Dystopian fiction is a genre of speculative fiction that depicts a frightening, often totalitarian, society characterized by oppression, control, and dehumanization. Both depict very bad possible futures for society. There is overlap between the 2 subgenres so I decided to merge them into one list. However there were too many good anime series in both subgenres so I wasn't able to narrow it down to just 10 as a result there will be 2 Top 10 Post Apocalyptic/Dystopian Anime lists. This is the 1st list so here are my top 10 Post Apocalyptic/Dystopian anime. Also before we begin there will be some major spoilers when we get to number 1 on this list since it was only just recently revealed to take place in a post apocalyptic world. You have been warned.
