14. Classic Universal Monsters Poster Art
For many horror fans, some of the greatest horror artwork ever produced wasn't hanging in an art museum.
It was hanging outside a movie theater.
The classic Universal Monsters generated some incredible promotional artwork featuring characters like Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
These posters had a difficult job.
They had to convince audiences that spending their hard-earned money to sit in the dark and watch a monster terrorize people was a fantastic idea.
Fortunately, they were very good at it.
