Daisy's Death Became Part of DOOM's Mythology
Daisy might seem like a tiny joke hidden inside the game's lore, but she became one of the most recognizable pieces of DOOM Guy's backstory.
The original games were not exactly known for lengthy emotional character development. DOOM Guy doesn't spend hours explaining his childhood, his hopes and dreams, or his favorite pizza toppings.
Instead, we get a rabbit.
And that rabbit gives the otherwise nearly silent protagonist a surprisingly human connection.
Daisy isn't a warrior.
She isn't a demon hunter.
She isn't some ancient supernatural being.
She's just a bunny.
That makes her fate strangely memorable.
