Don't Blink

We spend an enormous amount of time talking about finished horror games.

We review them.

We rank them.

We dissect their monsters.

We argue about which one is scarier.

We make videos about them.

We write articles about them.

And then we move on to the next one.

But there is something special about stopping for a moment and watching a horror game come into existence.

It's a reminder that behind every creepy hallway, terrifying monster and perfectly timed jump scare is somebody who had to actually build the bloody thing.

Following that process lets us see the creativity, experimentation and sheer stubbornness required to turn an idea into a playable nightmare.

And that's exactly the sort of thing indie horror fans should be watching.

Because today's strange little development video might eventually become tomorrow's horror game that everybody is talking about.

And wouldn't it be nice to be able to say:

"I was watching that thing before it was even finished."

Got a horror game being developed that you think people should be watching?

Tell us about it in the comments! Whether it's your own project or another indie developer you've discovered, drop the link and let the rest of the horror community know what nightmare is currently being assembled in somebody's basement, bedroom or suspiciously dark home office.
